Open qualifying for the 2010 Stocker Cup
will be held this year at Pasatiempo Golf Club in Santa Cruz, 45 minutes south of San Jose.
Pasatiempo is a much-beloved California course, designed by Alister Mackenzie, that has long held a spot on the Golf Digest Top 100 courses list. Mackenzie also designed the famed Cypress Point and Augusta National Golf Clubs. What a great spot for the qualifier!
The number of qualifying spots available in the tournament proper will be determined by the size of the qualifier field. Lodging is available nearby at the player's expense. Qualifying requirements:
- Age 25 or over as of the qualifying
date
- Verifiable USGA Handicap Index
of 3.4 or lower
Entry fee for the qualifier starts at $95 not including optional cart.
NOTE:
Players
advancing to the tournament proper will
pay the "A" player
entry fee of $500.00 which covers practice
round and at least 54 holes of tournament
golf, plus tournament dinner for player
and spouse, and many extras.
